The museum was abuzz with activity last month, from gingerbread houses and holiday parties to parades and volunteers adorning the cottage. Visitors also had the chance to take photos with Santa and enjoy holiday treats at our education and outreach table during Bike the Lights Night. Needless to say, the holiday season kept AWHM quite busy.
In December, our museum gift shop staff welcomed and documented a total of 463 visitors. Additionally, we had over 140 attendees attend a range of events and 9 dedicated volunteers. In total, 612 individuals
had the opportunity to explore the museum during this period.
The 3rd Annual Gingerbread Competition sparked tremendous excitement inside the museum, providing us with an opportunity to connect with many new individuals and faces. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the participants and our partners, the Virginia Beach Restaurant Association and Coastal Virginia Magazine.
