Dear Members and Friends of the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum,

I hope your holiday season was filled with joy and that you welcomed the new year in the warm company of family and friends. Over the past four months, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Lynn Hightower. I’m grateful for Lynn’s invaluable guidance and look forward to working with Lynn, and all of our dedicated board members in this exciting new year.

I would like to express my gratitude to all AWHM members and supporters who generously donated in 2023 and renewed their membership for 2024. Your support is critical in ensuring that the legacy of coastal Virginia remains alive and thriving.

The Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum is dedicated to the preservation of Coastal Virginia’s precious natural resources, which serve as a sanctuary to a diverse range of waterfowl species. Through education initiatives, events, and partnerships, we work to protect the habitats that support these magnificent creatures and ensure their continued existence for generations to come. Alongside our dedication to conservation, we are equally devoted to fostering a profound appreciation for the rich oral, written, and artistic history and legacy of waterfowl hunting and decoys throughout Coastal Virginia.

By combining our passion for the environment with a respect for tradition, we aim to create a harmonious blend between past and present.

Together, we can shape a vibrant and knowledgeable future for our area.

Respectfully,
Emily Bodsford
