In 1910 The deWitt family constructed a gazebo on the Southeast side of the property. It was used for a gathering place for the family to sit and enjoy the ocean and the beach. The gazebo stood on the oceanfront for more than ten years. It was most likely lost to a coastal hurricane in 1924.
On November 25th we broke ground to begin the restoration of this historic structure. Jim Briggs is our general contractor and he is also a member of our Board of Directors. Jim will be working with a number of other contractors to get the gazebo built.
