Museum Director, Lynn HightowerI want to thank the deWitt Cottage Garden Club for their tireless efforts to improve and beautify our gardens. They have been named again this year as an Award of Merit Winner by the Council of Garden Clubs in Virginia Beach and the Virginia Beach Beautification Commission for the beautification of our garden.

I need to thank Coastal Virginia Magazine, COVATIX.com, Dominion Energy, Virginia Beach Law Group. And The Surf Rider Foundation for their Sponsorships to help us produce the 4th Annual Fall Barbecue and Oyster Roast.  We are now only 12 days to our Fall Barbecue and Oyster Roast, Tickets are available at the museum or online at COVATIX.com.  Tickets are $40.00 each or $70.00 for a couple in advance.  Tickets purchased the day of the event will be $50.00 each.

On September 12, 2019 Shore Gallery Seaside Gifts celebrated It’s Grand Opening with a Ribbon Cutting Hosted by Retail Alliance of Tidewater and The Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum. City Councilwoman Rosemary Wilson was on hand to assist with the ribbon cutting. A reception followed in the de Witt Cottage.
